We carry out numerous quality tests on our products, studying various aspects that may affect the lifespan of a product:
• Its colour: we ensure that our products show no signs of bleeding or change in colour over time.
• Its shape: we carry out specific wash tests to ensure that our garments keep their shape during daily care.
• Its material: we make sure that the materials we use offer lasting durability, particularly by resisting pilling, which we verify through pilling tests.

Claudie Second Hand is sketching out a more responsible future for the fashion world.
Since the beginning of 2024, Claudie Pierlot has been proud to present "Claudie Seconde Main," an initiative that embodies our commitment to extending the life cycle of our pieces while making them accessible to as many people as possible. The approach we have adopted is based on a circular economy, which is in line with contemporary environmental concerns.
We look at fashion from a different angle, both in its creation and consumption. At Claudie Pierlot, we believe in fashion that is sustainable and accessible to all, and where each piece has a story to tell and can continue to inspire and be loved by new owners.
Just over a year after the launch of this programme, more than 6,800 second-hand items have been recovered, and more than 2,600 have found their way into a new wardrobe.

Choosing the finest materials and guaranteeing their quality during manufacture are at the heart of our approach, but to prolong the life of your favourite pieces, we'd like to share some tips to help you look after them.

Don't wash your items too often, especially jeans and knitwear.

Always sort whites from coloured clothes to avoid unpleasant surprises.

Turn the clothes inside out.

Don't wash clothes above 30°C or household linen above 60°C.

Use a net for delicate clothes, lace, for example.

Don't put silk, viscose or wool in the machine.
